Biking 101

Essential items for an afternoon of biking with friends:

Gloves

Helmet

Sunglasses

Why are these items crucial? If, hypothetically speaking of course, you turn your head to hear what the biker behind you is saying and if you steer off the road and if there happens to be a 4 inch drop from the pavement to the grass and if your front tire drops and if* you lose control of the bike, although you will fly over your bike and skid across the road, you will only have a few bruises to show for it due to protective gear.

* That's a lot of "if's" but I'm sure it could happen.

Uh oh, are you okay? IF that did indeed happen to you. If it did then I'm sorry, but if it didn't, well, I think it did, but I wouldn't be sorry. The whole thing sounds a little iffy to me.

IF.. you stayed off the bike and maybe had a big cup of that hot chocolate with them this might not have happened.

Hope you are o.k.

Hope those hypothetical bruises are healing nicely...

If I ever go biking, I will take your advice and hypothetical situation to heart and will refuse to look at my kids. :)

Hope you are feeling ok.

Mojo: yes, I am okay. :o)

Joe: Chocolate? I didn't even THINK of that to help with the cuts and bruises.

Beth: I'm sure the biggest bruise - that being my ego - will heal shortly.

Queen: Yep, just don't talk to anyone!

OOOOWWW! Good to see you're OK enough to type. A woman fell on her bike just outside our house, breaking her elbow in the process. Ouch.

The only way this COULD happen is IF Charlotte is the one piloting the bike!

I've always thought the most important thing for any activity is to look cool. Which you were totally doing, at least, until...

I shouldn't laugh, because I am equally klutzy. I say I shouldn't, but...hee-hee-hee.
