The-Post-That-Must-Not-Be-Named

I helped make history. The last site I checked, Harry Potter had earned over 77.5 million in it's opening weekend. I helped: $6 worth - and that was the afternoon show. Where did the $1 matinée from my childhood disappear? I'm guessing it ran away with the $ .75 gallon of gas I also remember.

Maybe a little Hogwarts' magic can bring yesterday's prices back.

Maybe a picture from this movie and not Chamber of Secrets will help get the price down!!!

Did you love it?

That's all I could find when I google-imaged "Harry Potter with wand". And I would gladly see it again - matinee of course.

Love your penultimate post! Glad you made history and had fun doing it! I am not good with serial books, although I did read the Potter deal up to the Goblet one.

I'm so jealous... I've been opening weekend to all of the other movies. But my babysitters (my parents ~ yay for free babysitting) couldn't watch the kids this weekend. :( Oh well, it's not going anywhere. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

You're right. Where did those matinee prices go? We go to the "dollar" theater near here. It shows movies that are almost on DVD. The price of a small popcorn is $5.00! Sure, they only charge $1.00 for the movie, but they get you with the snacks!

I'm sorry I've only seen the first Harry Potter movie. Not really my cup-of-tea. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie, though.

I didn't help, nor do I plan on helping promote violence and witchcraft to our youth. I did however see the new Die Hard movie and all I can say is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Maybe one of the best pieces of media to be produced, next to the new T.I. cd that was released like a week ago. Now that was something I bought the day it came out.

My mil thinks that the spells in the HP movies are real. She also thinks that people can really fly on brooms. I'm not kidding, sadly enough..

Movies are a whopping $9.50 here ... tho the girl thought I was in school and gave me the discount of $8.50 -- woo hoo. Ya, it breaks the bank to go to the movies these days. Then again, I saw a gallon of milk at WALMART for $7.15 -- are you kidding me?!

Damn I paid a whopping $10.25 to see it.

I guess there are some good points to parenthood -- I don't see movies in the theater anymore. Well, not as many, anyway. Woohoo me! I have money!

Of course, it's all going to Mr. Gas Station Attendant.

Sigh...I know, but it was worth it. I love old Harry and the gang..

Holy moley! Is that really the price of milk?!

PS: I liked the movie. Loony Lovegood is a wonderful addition to the gang. Loved her accent.
