I'd Like To Buy A Vowel Please

My friend Krista had a baby 7 weeks ago. She and her husband moved a week before their son was born so I've only seen pictures of him on their blog. In one set of pictures, I commented that his outfit was pretty snazzy since his name was stitched across the front. I was finally able to see the little guy in person this weekend at a wedding reception we each attended. At one point, I was standing with Krista and two others as we admired Thatcher. For some reason he started to fuss. I stated that perhaps Thatcher was upset since his onsie wasn't mammogramed with his name.

* silence with awkward stares

"Charlotte, do you mean monogrammed?"

...um, yes. Excuse me while I go sit in the coroner...

Well they both start with an M, they both have 'gram' in them, and they're both kind of in the chest area. So you were close.

That's great! I hate mammogrammed shirts anyway!

I think that the only word to describe that would be...

AWESOME.

That is hilarious! I am so glad you shared that one!

I honestly didn't even notice the slip at first. I had to read it 3 times.

That's pretty funny Char. I'm with ya on that one- not necessarily the mammogram word, but sticking my foot in my mouth. The other night we were at a party and I said something really dumb and then I said, "Maybe I shouldn't say things like that outloud." Yeah.

Ok. One time I was trying to say that we should be "inconspicuous" and said "promiscuous." Totally different meanings there.

Which "coroner" would you like to sit in...and wouldn't that be rather uncomfortable?

Sorry, I am a little late, I have been homeless and haven't checked in on you in a while.
