I received an email advising me to not follow through on an invitation from a guy entering my life. The email was from a close friend but I wondered if I had been sent the email accidentally for two main reasons:
1. There was no proposition of any sort made and
2. There is no guy in my life.
Sorting the situation out later on the phone, I found out that someone said that someone else said he said that she said I was headed for trouble with some guy.
Of course I was honored.
I'm usually the one starting the rumors and never the culprit of. This throws an entire new twist into life. Now I have more to live for. I am that somebody everyone's talking about.
Can I get a trophy or something. A ribbon at least?

Ok, ok, I get it. Man, I keep getting shot down earlier and earlier in the relationship.
you should be flattered!
Secret agents realize that there is a reasonable expectation of reality behind every rumor regarding either the rumoree or the rumoror.
I think a medal is in order.
Diesel, you are funny but just not my type. Married men are never my type. ...sorry.
Aluwicious - I am flattered. I'm gossip worthy!
The OE - thanks for stopping by my site. I noticed you are a secret agent... do you always spy on the gossip worthy?
Charlotte - I gladly accept!
You should have asked who the guy was that is so much trouble.
You are in desperate need of some "trouble" - If you know what I am saying!!! ;)
Um thanks Thom.
Actually, that's not what I heard. I heard that she told him what you said about him being with her while he told her something else about me.
Or something.
Wow. Sorry. I really should not start spreading rumors like that.
Pretty odd yet funny. Maybe she's seeing something in your future.
Ugh, I prefer not to be the one everyone's talking about.
Though I have sent emails to unintended recipients a couple of times. You'd think it'd be funny, but mostly, they're just... confused.
Well, at least you have people who look out for you. I think you should be the one giving out the medals.
