It has started. I tried so hard to avoid it. I stayed away from people when it was all they could talk about. I ate the foods and drank the fluids that help it go away. I washed my hands of it. Somehow, being surrounded by it, my body finally gave up and let it in.
And I'm ready for it to be over.
I'm ready to breathe in and breathe out without it causing me to cough.
I'm ready to sleep without it waking me up to go blow my nose.
I'm ready for it not to make my voice sound weird.
I'm ready for my shoulders to not ache from it.
I'm ready for it to not make my throat so scratchy.
I'm ready to stop feeding it cough drops.
I'm ready for bright lights or loud noises to not aggravate it.
I'm ready to taste flavors that it has numbed.
I'm ready.
Who else has it?

I know "It's" going around. Fortunately, I haven't fallen prey to IT yet. I hope writing this doesn't provoke IT!
We've had 2 rounds of "it". Some how the effects linger for weeks after. I hope you feel better soon!
sorry you're sick. Apparently this flu season has reached epidemic proportions. I got "it" pretty bad. It's no fun. Get well soon!
Even out here in the Middle East, we've all had our turns getting it. And it lingers on for a while. It took well over a fortnight to clear my system...and now it might be coming back.
Get some rest and don't push yourself too hard.
OH NO!! I hope you get better soon! (I'm gonna go wash my hands now so I don't get "IT"!)
sorry charlotte! my dad recently caught IT. i didn't see him for two days, as he was holed up in his room. when he did emerge i asked how he was doing. "well," he replied, "i no longer wish to die!"
drink your liquids! feel better!
Had it. Still kind of shaking off the cobwebs from it, actually. I wound up with three stitches and a cool scar from it, as a matter of fact.
Mojo: knock on wood!
Melissa: 2 rounds? This isn't boxing!
Travis: Did you give it to me via blog?!
Shankar: did someone tell me to get some rest? Don't have to tell me twice to go take a nap!
Patience: I hope you don't get it. I'm almost over it. :o)
Amanda: LOL. I didn't feel that bad. Just couldn't breathe...
Llama: um, yes, I remember that blog post. Hope the stitches are gone.
I don't have it and I don't want it, so I really don't want to see you.
